When I’m feeling in a bit of a mental flap, I sometimes end up buying Psychologies Magazine. I admit, it had been a while since I had picked up an issue so I was behind lagging behind in terms of recent studies and mindfulness techniques. Ms Marvel – G. Willow Wilson: Book Review
After seeing the cover art for Ms Marvel #1 I was sold, not only was there potentially an amazing character being born but the artwork was mind-blowing. The costume was modern, potentially something I would wear myself and automatically it gave me a sense of kinship to the character. I picked up #1 and I haven’t looked back since.
Queens of Geek – Jen Wilde: Book Review
As someone who goes to Comic Con at least once a year, the synopsis was an instant hook. The premise was something I hadn’t seen in a novel before and I had high hopes for it.
Galatea – Madeline Miller: Book Review
Galatea is a short story written by ‘Song of Achilles’ and ‘Circe’ writer Madeline Miller.
Yes Please – Amy Poehler: Book Review
Let me say this first before we continue the review for this book. I rarely read biographies. I can count the amount of them I have read on one hand (three including this one) and the other two I was severely disappointed in (Gordon Ramsey’s ‘Humble Pie’ & Richard Ayoade’s ‘Ayoade on Ayoade’). However, this book far surpassed any exceptions I may have had.
